“ Thank you to the owner Frank, who helped my family coordinate a 'surprise' birthday gathering for my mom's 75th. He was patient while I asked all the questions! Our server Hannah was great and attentive to our guests needs. Everything was perfect! Food was yummy - we had boneless wings, flatbreads, tater tots, mac and cheese and steak and cheese egg rolls, as well as a huge chocolate cake. The space is very updated, clean and bright. We loved the ease of access and parking too. Thank you! ”
“ My husband and I had a great experience here. It was our first time visiting the restaurant in quaint downtown Ayer. The restaurant is right by the Ayer commuter rail and has an outdoor patio during nice weather. He got the Cuban sandwich and I got the harvest salad. They were both delicious. The salad was very yummy and full (not just a bunch of lettuce). I didn't even need the dressing because it was so good. It tasted what I imagine fall to taste like. It was one of the best salads I have had before. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She brought us a big bottle of water at the start and offered to bring me lemon for mine when I said that I was going to stick with water for my drink. The prices were decent and the atmosphere was relaxing. We enjoyed our visit. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant and on the street that is free of charge. There are high chairs available for little ones. ”
“ We took our family here recently. There were tvs with plenty of sports and we were able to sit relatively quickly. They had a great array of American food, a ton of beers on tap and what looked like a rotating cocktail list. The kids loved the burgers and my daughter got the grownup grilled cheese. My wife settled on a Cesar salad and I went with the smash burger. All in all the food, atmosphere and service were great. We all can’t wait to come back soon. ”
“ Max and Jen were fantastic!!! All of the staff here are always friendly and inviting and keep a great atmosphere inside. The food is fantastic no matter what you order. The hoodsie cup Sunday is definitely the best desert when max is making it ”
“ The pleasant cafe in Ayer has excellent service and the atmosphere is really cool! What a beautiful restaurant! Food is top notch too! Highly recommend checking this place out! ”
“ If you are looking for excellent and tasty food after a long day of soccer games. Look no further and head over to the Pleasant Cafe. The fried chicken sandwich is the best I've had. Fresh food and nice people is all you can ask for, and don't shy away from the cheese steak egg rolls! ”
“ I had the pleasure of visiting this cozy little cafe tonight in Ayer, and it exceeded all my expectations. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, but the true highlights were the incredible staff and the delicious menu offerings. Max, our server, was incredibly personable and made the experience that much more enjoyable. From the moment we were seated, he made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. His friendly demeanor and attention to detail made the evening even better. Hannah, behind the bar, is a true artist. Her drink-making skills are exceptional, and I highly recommend the pistachio espresso martini. It was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, easily one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while. Paired with the cafe’s seasonal fall dessert—a sweet potato maple cheesecake—it was an indulgence I won’t soon forget. The cheesecake was creamy with just the right hint of sweetness and spice, complementing the martini in the most delightful way. If you’re looking for a spot with great service, expertly crafted drinks, and a dessert menu that will have you coming back for more, this little cafe is a must-visit! ”
“ Big mack is my favorite menu option. The place is clean, well maintained and plenty of TV to watch the games. The smash burger is excellent. Well worth the trip and looking forward to eating here again. Prices are reasonable and bathrooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained ”
